Society for Indian Hand Surgery and Microsurgeons is a nonprofit association incorporated under the society act of Tamilnadu, India aims to promote and direct the development of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at national and international level. The society promotes dissemination and diffusion of knowledge among Orthopedics Surgeons, Hand Surgeons, Micro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, General Surgeons and members of all medical professions in general.

Started in the year 2008 with renowned members and colleagues, the society stood fast in its growth and expanded to include surgeons from India and all over the world.

The Journal of Hand and Microsurgery is the official journal of the society launched simultaneously to advance the science and practice of Hand and Reconstructive microsurgery.. The Journal is available online and print and has abstract and indexing in PubMedCentral (PMC), Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Google Scholar, Academic OneFile, Expanded Academic, OCLC, SCImago, Summon by ProQuest, EBSCO, ProQuest.

Regular scientific meetings, symposia, current concepts, updates, webinars, Continuous Medical Examination (CME’s) National and International Conferences are the knowledge transferring broadcasters of the society to impart and impact hand surgery profession.
